B.Sc. Nursing (4 Years)

Eligibility Criteria:
The Post Basic B.Sc (Nursing) is a two-year undergraduate degree program designed for registered nurses who have completed a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM). This program provides an opportunity to upgrade their professional skills and academic knowledge, enabling them to assume leadership, teaching, and specialized clinical roles in healthcare. It focuses on developing critical thinking, research aptitude, and advanced nursing practices essential for delivering quality patient care.

Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination (HSC / Pre-Degree) after a period of 12 years of study under a recognized Board or University, with the following subjects:
- Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or Botany and Zoology), and English.

Candidates must have secured a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the above-mentioned subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology).
- For SC / ST candidates, a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in these subjects is required.
- The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (2 Years)

This program provides an opportunity to upgrade their professional skills and academic knowledge, enabling them to assume leadership, teaching, and specialized clinical roles in healthcare. It focuses on developing critical thinking, research aptitude, and advanced nursing practices essential for delivering quality patient care.
- Candidates must have successfully completed a Diploma in Nursing and must be a Registered Nurse and Midwife (R.N.R.M.) in the Tamil Nadu Nursing Council or any other State Nursing Council, and should also be registered in the Tamil Nadu Nursing Council recognized by the University authorities.
- There is no upper age limit for admission to the First Year Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing program.
